Inspired by a quote from Max Mercury in World Without Grown-Ups-- "Slow down and think."
I'm sure that if he was stuck somewhere in the Speed Force, and had to really do it, he'd be in a lot of physical pain.
But it's really just a tribute.
Originally, there were going to be pieces of famous old covers in the bubbles, and then, refrencing Our Worlds At War, pictures of thought-clones dying again and again. But, then I thought that that would be overly complex for me to do. I'm a whimp.
I'm going to assume you already know the news, or you don't care. But here's a SPOILER ALERT for Flash: Fastest Man Alive #13 and Justice League #10! just in case.
I can't believe they killed Bart just to bring back Wally. What's the point?! I mean, just depower him or de-age him or send him on wonderful adventures in the Multiverse or something instead! Why did they do it?! GRAH!!

Digital instead of Traditional because of not enough categories. X_X Well, I can't blame 'em.
Coloring this was a real joy! I really don't use Photoshop to color enough. Boy, it's fun. The background and stuff was cool to do, too! The speech bubble borders and the goggles were a pain to figure out how to do, but I think it was worth it. I got to play around with the shading in parts-- if you look really close at the lighter-red bits, you can see that the strips of highlight fade as you go down. It makes me happy.
oh boi, youngfastlad! 8D he is ever so spiffy. i dont really follow comics though... they never have enough in the bookstores. D:<< well, not like i actually look through them...
wow, I don't know much about the series or characters you're talking about, but your art is still wonderful regardless The background is really eye-popping and I'm really impressed by his expression and the clothing wrinkles/muscle tone - excellent work!

This is so cool. I'm glad you kept the thought bubbles empty, it seems more like his early days in his own series, when he was absolutely incapable of thinking before he ran.
I miss him too, but remember, nobody ever truly dies in comics. He'll be back one day.
But, in my mind, he's not dead. He's just trapped in an alternate dimension with Kon, and they're drinking copious amounts of Root Beer and having belching contests.
THAT IS THE COMPLETE AND UTTER TRUTH. D<
Amazing amazing amazing piece of work.

I wish Impulse as Impulse was still around-- but hey! At least there's-- Um, are you following 52 and Countdown? Don't want to spoil.
Really? There are some in Borders here-- not a huge number, but still. Not like it matters.
But thanks a lot! I like the expression too-- My characters are always smiling or neutral, so I wanted something different.
