So there was one of ^those^ today.

I told myself I'd buy books-- nothing more, nothing less. So of course I blow 50 dollars on two books, like ten stuffed animals, three purses, a fan, a pair of black leather gloves and what I suspect to be a leather bomber jacket.

A beautiful, wonderful, brown leather bomber jacket just begging for me to put patches and black fur on it and bomb Berlin. YOU GET THE HONOR OF BACKING ME UP! I'M THE HERO! *eats hamburger*

Seriously, it's awesome! Except for the unexplained dark spots on the back I just noticed. Oops. WHATEVER. It's blood. Because I'm a war hero. Yeah. I kill to preserve the beauty of Life, Liberty, and Property! Erm, The Pursuit of Happiness! And it has a map of America on the inside! An old-timey one, too! It only cost ten dollars and now I'm one step closer to finishing the America cosplay I didn't know I was doing until an hour ago! Wooooooooooooooo

Now I just need to reduce the shoulders and make the sleeves thinner somehow because they make me look like a lump.

... How do I do that?

Whatever, I'm still happy.

I want a bomber jacket so bad D;

And that's how most of my cosplays get started aha. "Hey, I could use this vest with that pair of pants and those shoes I have at home for a crappy Mello cosplay!"
Which I'm doing.

But I'd rather be america D;

That's a very sensible approach-- you have the costume half done before you start! I should start thinking that way more often... (I'm trying to piece together Lamiroir's dress right now... And the lines on the cloak will be Hell. HELL. That'll show me)

Well, England too, but I guess whichever costume I get done first. Hurr durr. I'm really lazy about sticking to one costume... I had materials ready for both Valant and Wocky before I decided on Mello. And now since Mello's costume is easiest, I'm cosplaying him first.
I'll get back on task sooner or later.
